Getting a website built in Istanbul

Bilgetek is based in Istanbul. This page covers how working with us goes, and a few things worth knowing whoever you end up working with.

What working with a local team actually changes

A website can be built remotely; there is no point pretending otherwise. Being local makes a concrete difference in a few places:

  • We are in the same time zone. A change you send in the morning gets done the same day, not the next one.
  • KVKK, distance-selling and commercial-messaging rules are specific to Türkiye. We include those texts in the package so they are right from the start.
  • We can meet in person when it helps. Not necessary for most projects, but on complex work one meeting moves things faster than a week of messages.

The process

  1. You write or call. We reply within one business day.
  2. A short call: what you need to communicate, which sections you need, examples you like. Free.
  3. A written quote within 24 hours.
  4. Design and build. A one-page site takes a few days, a multi-page corporate site one to two weeks.
  5. Three revision rounds, then launch.
  6. Deployment to the customer's domain, source-code handover and 30 days of bug support.

Six questions to ask any agency

Ask these of us and of anyone else. Projects that start without clear answers here tend to go wrong later.

Whose name will the domain be registered in?

The domain should be registered in your name. A domain held in the agency's own account becomes a problem the day you part ways. We register it in your name; you own it.

What if I want to move the site to someone else?

Ask this at the start. A site deployed to your own hosting with its source code handed over does not lock you to one supplier. We deploy to the customer's domain and hosting.

What exactly does maintenance cover?

"Maintenance" is a broad word. Is hosting included, is SSL renewed, are backups taken, how many changes a month do you get, who fixes it when something breaks? Get it in writing.

What makes the price change?

The package, an admin panel, extra content modules, logo work and custom features such as e-commerce affect the price. Turkish and English and standard corporate sections are included.

Do they provide the KVKK texts?

In Türkiye every site with a contact form needs a KVKK disclosure and a privacy policy. Are these included in the package, or asked for later?

Who do I reach after delivery?

The person who built it, or a support queue? How long does a small change take? Settle this before delivery, not after.

Pricing

A one-page site is ₺7,500, a corporate site is ₺12,500, and a site with an admin panel is ₺19,000, excluding VAT. Turkish and English, mobile responsiveness, basic technical SEO, a contact form, SSL, privacy texts and three revision rounds are included. Pricing page and estimator

By sector

We have written up what the website needs for each sector and built a working example for each. These examples are fictional businesses, not our clients.
