File Organizer
Gathers the files in a messy folder into type-based subfolders: images into "Images", music into "Music", videos into "Videos", documents into "Documents".
What it does
Use this to tidy a Downloads folder full of mixed files, collect images scattered on your desktop into one folder, sort a backup by type, or tidy up a project.
How to use
- Click Choose folder and pick the folder you want to tidy.
- Optionally tick Include subfolders.
- Pick Move or Copy (default: Move).
- Press Scan.
- Found files are listed per category, with each file shown individually under its category.
- Uncheck any files you don't want to move.
- Press Organize; the selected files are moved (or copied) into their target subfolders.

Examples
Tidy your Downloads: Choose folder → Downloads, Scan, all categories selected, Organize. Each type goes to its own folder.
Collect only images: Scan, uncheck every category except "Images", Organize.
Exclude a few files: In the list under a category, uncheck the individual files you don't want moved.
Keep the originals: Pick Copy instead of Move; originals stay in place and copies are organized.
Things to watch
- If a file with the same name already exists at the destination, the new file is numbered like
name (1).ext; nothing is overwritten. - In Move mode files physically relocate; if unsure, try Copy first.
- Target category folders (Images, Music, etc.) are not re-scanned, so there's no loop.
- Scanning a very large folder can take a few seconds.
