Media Downloader

Downloads video or audio from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, SoundCloud and 1000+ other sites. Single downloads, multi-URL queue, persistent history.

What it does

Use this to save YouTube videos to your phone, grab podcast episodes as audio, archive Twitter videos, or save web content for evidence.

How to use

Four tabs:

Quick

  1. Paste a URL.
  2. Pick format and quality.
  3. Click Download.

Queue

  1. Paste several URLs.
  2. Set shared options.
  3. The whole queue downloads in order.

History

Past downloads, open the files or re-download.

Settings

Default quality, output folder, parallel-download count.

Supported sites

YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter/X, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, Dailymotion, Bilibili and every site yt-dlp supports (1000+).

Quality

Set a max resolution cap:

  • 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p (default), 1440p, 2160p (4K), max.

For audio, bitrate: 128, 192 (default), 256, 320 kbps.

Filename template

Default: %(uploader)s/%(title)s.%(ext)s

This saves into an uploader-named folder, file named after the title. You can customise the template.

Examples

Download a YouTube video as MP4: Quick tab, paste URL, format MP4, quality 1080p, download.

Podcast episode as MP3: Quick tab, podcast URL, format MP3 192 kbps, download.

Entire YouTube playlist: Quick tab, paste the playlist URL. Auto-detected, every item is downloaded.

Bulk multi-URL download: Queue tab, paste URLs (one per line), shared format MP4 720p, start the queue.

Watch out

  • yt-dlp and ffmpeg must be installed on the system.
  • Format conversion needs ffmpeg.
  • Some sites rate-limit, very fast downloads may be blocked.
  • DRM-protected content (Netflix, Spotify) cannot be downloaded.
  • Copyright: only download what you have rights to or for personal use.
  • History is capped at 500 entries, older ones rotate out.

License

Free tier has a monthly download cap. Office and Ultimate plans remove it.
