Keep Window On Top (Always-On-Top)
Keeps an open window in front of every other window so it never gets lost behind them. It runs on a single screen with a single button.
What it does
Use this to keep the calculator over another app, leave a video player visible while you work, or keep a reference window always in front.
How to use
Everything happens on one screen. Open windows show up in a list. Each window has a single button next to it:
- Find the window you want in the list.
- Click Pin next to it. The window is now kept in front at all times.
- To release it, the same button becomes Unpin, click it.
If the list is out of date, click Refresh to scan the open windows again.
A window is either kept in front or released. There are no other settings.
Examples
Keep the calculator on top: Open the calculator, find it in the list, click Pin. It stays in front.
Keep a video visible: Open the video window, find it in the list, click Pin. It stays in the corner while you work.
Release it: Click Unpin on the same window.
Watch out
- Windows only. No Mac or Linux.
- System windows (Task Manager, Start menu) cannot be pinned, blocked for safety.
- UWP (Microsoft Store) apps sometimes do not pin cleanly.
- If the list looks stale, click Refresh.
