Keep Window On Top (Always-On-Top)

Keeps an open window in front of every other window so it never gets lost behind them. It runs on a single screen with a single button.

What it does

Use this to keep the calculator over another app, leave a video player visible while you work, or keep a reference window always in front.

How to use

Everything happens on one screen. Open windows show up in a list. Each window has a single button next to it:

  1. Find the window you want in the list.
  2. Click Pin next to it. The window is now kept in front at all times.
  3. To release it, the same button becomes Unpin, click it.

If the list is out of date, click Refresh to scan the open windows again.

A window is either kept in front or released. There are no other settings.

Examples

Keep the calculator on top: Open the calculator, find it in the list, click Pin. It stays in front.

Keep a video visible: Open the video window, find it in the list, click Pin. It stays in the corner while you work.

Release it: Click Unpin on the same window.

Watch out

  • Windows only. No Mac or Linux.
  • System windows (Task Manager, Start menu) cannot be pinned, blocked for safety.
  • UWP (Microsoft Store) apps sometimes do not pin cleanly.
  • If the list looks stale, click Refresh.
